July 2, 2025, High Point, NC, Highpoint Enterprise: Permit sought for autism clinic
A provider of autism therapy services is seeking to establish a practice in High Point. . . .
It describes itself in a news release as a provider of “center-based applied behavior analysis therapy” for children with autism.
Based in Mishawaka, Indiana, the company says it has a network of centers in the Midwest and is expanding into North Carolina this year. It previously announced plans to open clinics in Hickory, Monroe and Statesville. . . .
High Point was not one of the locations that the company announced, but the city has approved a building permit for renovations to the 4,776-square-foot structure, which is near the Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist High Point Medical Center campus.
The permit application states that the projected date of occupancy is Aug. 31.
This would be at least the third autism therapy clinic chain to open a location in High Point in recent months. The others are Life Skills Autism Academy at 410 Brentwood St. and BCPS by Behavioral Framework at 1810 Westchester Drive.
