Florida: ASD therapy provider has 41 centers in state

April 10, 2024, Dayton Beach News-Journal: Florida Autism Center hosting open house Friday to celebrate Autism Awareness Month

A new Florida Autism Center location opened in Daytona Beach earlier this year, and the facility is hosting an open house Friday in celebration of Autism Acceptance and Awareness Month.

Keery Wolf, the facility’s clinical director, said Daytona’s Florida Autism Center currently serves 13 children, but can accommodate up to 25.

It offers early intervention applied behavior analysis for adolescents with autism, helping them improve social, communication and learning skills. Florida Autism Center also provides center-, home-, community-, school- and virtual-based therapies, according to its website.

BlueSprig, branded as Florida Autism Center, has 127 locations across 15 states, according to its website. Florida, with 41 facilities, has more locations than any other state. . . .

“Autism Awareness Month has been around for a while and getting people to understand people with autism and their needs and just being people, being aware, is really important,”

Wolf said. “And we just thought this would be a good idea because there are lots of things that are going on with different organizations around and this would be a good time to do it.”

All community members are invited to visit and tour the center, participate in fun activities and learn more about services Florida Autism Center provides for children with autism.

“Everybody knows somebody that might need help,” Wolf said.
