"The Oakland County prosecutor denied charges yesterday (Thursday) afternoon," Farmington Hills Police Chief Charles Nebus said. Afterward, Nebus said he met with the student's parents and received written permission to say that the student is a special-needs student diagnosed with autism. The student was initially taken for a medical evaluation and is getting follow-up care. As part of their investigation, police established the student had no access to weapons and also had no history of criminal or aggressive behavior.
