What will happen in another 4 years? How can we go on like this? This is a national (and international) problem of monumental proportions. We have an entire new class of children who cannot be accommodated by the system: many are manifestly neurologically impaired. Meanwhile, the government and the medical profession sleep on regardless.

A ribbon-cutting opens doors to a private special education day school for Southside students with disabilities.

Danville’s Hughes Educational Center renovated the existing facility to help enhance student teacher interactions in a structured learning community to meet their educational needs.

The center offers residential care and treatment to children and adolescents with autism and intellectual disabilities.

While the school serves students grades K-12 and into adult transmissions up to the age of 22, currently they can serve up to 30 students at a time with room to expand licensing for up to 50 students
