Corbin, KY: Police car shows "autism awareness"

May 2, 2024, WBKO, Bowling Green, KY: Corbin Police design cruiser for autism awareness

The Corbin Police Department debuted a new design for one of their cruisers.

The cruiser design is a tribute to autism awareness.

In a Facebook post, officials said, “We encourage everyone in our community and beyond to educate themselves on Autism and how this affects a person’s communication and social interactions.”

Police said the Tint Shop of Corbin donated the vinyl and installed it.

Corbin Police Department is determined to understand and appreciate what makes every individual different in our community. Officers are trained to recognize and react to persons on the Autism Spectrum differently than a person who is “neurotypical”.

We encourage everyone in our community and beyond to educate themselves on Autism and how this affects a person's communication and social interactions.

We would like to give a shout-out to The Tint Shop of Corbin for donating and installing this vinyl wrap for one of our cruisers.
