(Canada) Simcoe Co, Ont: Grand opening for autism therapy center
The Chantler Centre officially celebrated its grand opening on Oct. 29, welcoming over 300 community members, partners, supporters, and local leaders for an evening of connection, celebration, and recognition of a shared commitment to accessible support for children and families living with autism in Simcoe County.
The event featured a ribbon-cutting ceremony, tours of the newly renovated facility, opportunities to meet the team and founders, and conversations about the growing need for accessible therapeutic and support services in the region.
Since opening its doors earlier this month, The Chantler Centre has already begun serving the community, facilitating 18 therapy sessions each day through its no-cost 12-week therapeutic speech and language therapy, occupational therapy, and applied behavioural analysis programs. The strong early demand highlights the importance of reducing barriers to support and ensuring care is available to those who need it most.
“This Grand Opening was more than a celebration of a new building, it was a celebration of what our community can accomplish when people come together around a shared purpose,” shared Martina Whittick, Executive Director of The Chantler Centre.
“We are deeply grateful to our community partners, volunteers, and supporters who helped bring The Chantler Centre to life. Because of their generosity, individuals and families now have access to no-cost therapeutic services in a welcoming and supportive environment.”
The Chantler Centre extends its sincere thanks to everyone who attended the event and to the many organizations, businesses, and individuals whose contributions made the Centre possible. Their support has created a lasting impact that will benefit the community for years to come.
As the Centre continues to grow, its focus remains on providing compassionate, client-centered services that reduce barriers to early identification, provide inclusive therapies, encourages active and confident living, while building a connected community where every family feels they belong.
