Anchor: The Bozeman School District is working to generate ideas on how to accommodate growing special education needs.
District officials gave a presentation on the topic during a school board meeting this week.
The number of the special education students rose from around 500 students to around 900 students.
As a result, IDEA funding is slim and the district’s general fund is trying to make up the difference
Special Ed. Director: It’s really rewarding to have strong structures of support in place for special education
Anchor: Officials say the goal is to overcome the challenges of disability based accommodations and services to keep up with the growing student population.
