Boca Raton, FL: $2M campaign launched to create support center for ASD/special needs families
Addressing a critical gap in community resources, local nonprofit NationFund announced today the launch of a $2 million capital campaign to establish a permanent, 10,000-square-foot Resource Center in Boca Raton. Founded by Boca Raton residents Omid and Jardana Dallal, the grassroots organization is dedicated to creating an environment of safety, inclusion, and belonging for children with autism and special needs, as well as their caregivers.
NationFund was born out of the founders’ lived experience raising twin boys with special needs and confronting the isolation and social barriers that often accompany a diagnosis.
“We started NationFund not as a therapy clinic, but as a place to belong,” said Omid Dallal, Co-Founder of NationFund. “No parent should carry the weight of this journey alone, and no child should ever have to earn the right to be included. Florida families are facing historic hurdles right now, and this Resource Center will ensure our kids and parents have direct, local access to safety, dignity, and community without waiting years for support.” . . .
Prevalence & Waitlists: Florida holds the highest autism prevalence rate in the nation, while more than 23,000 Florida families remain on the Medicaid waiver waitlist for specialized services—with wait times extending from 7 to 15 years.
Safety Crisis: In 2025, 39 children with autism in Florida tragically lost their lives to drowning, the highest annual number recorded in state history. . . .
NationFund’s $2 million capital campaign aims to build a 10,000-square-foot facility in Boca Raton designed to offer centralized community programming, social activities, and educational workshops under one roof.
In the coming months, NationFund will host an inclusive community family gathering in Boca Raton alongside partner organizations and local resources, giving families an accessible setting to connect, share experiences, and access essential services.
