Bay Co. MI: New autism support center opens

ESSEXVILLE, MI — A center focused on supporting individuals with autism and their caregivers will host an open house here at its newest facility.

Spectrum Autism Center, a company with locations across Michigan, opened a new site recently at 955 N. Pine in Essexville. Officials there will invite community members to an open house from noon to 2 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 28.

The event will feature games, craft projects and refreshments, planners said.

Spectrum Autism Center officials in a statement said they opened the Bay County-based facility after learning about the demand there by families and caregivers seeking support services for individuals with autism.

Spectrum Autism Center also operates facilities in Kent, Saginaw and Van Buren counties.
