Sept 12, 2017, Wannaroo Community News, Australia: Koondoola: Burbridge School’s new multi-sensory room awakening students’ senses http://www.communitynews.com.au/wanneroo-times/ Students at Burbridge School in Koondoola now have one of Perth’s most advanced learning areas at their disposal. The special-needs program, which caters for kindergarten to Year 12 students, launched its state-of-the-art multisensory room at the beginning of the month. School officer Nicola Parker said it would be of great help to the students, given children with disabilities often had difficulty with their sensory system. “Time spent in a multi-sensory environment can increase concentration, focus attention, improve alertness, awaken memories and improve mobilisation.”
